Editorial and Source Standards

Source hierarchy

Local factual claims on this site are sourced official-first: City of Cape Coral documents, then Lee County, state, federal, and licensing-agency sources. Third-party cost guides and competitor pages are not used as the factual basis for local price, permit, safety, engineering, or capability claims — they may be described, but they are never the evidence.

Verification dates

Dated facts carry the date they were last checked against the issuing source. Dates change only after material re-verification — not automatically on each build or deploy. A recent date on this site means the issuing source and the stated claim were materially re-checked; it is not an automatic build or deployment date.

Corrections

To submit a correction, use the contact page and include the page, the specific claim, and the official source that contradicts it. Corrections that check out are applied to the page and its verification date; the correction contact is the same as the general contact.

AI assistance

AI tools may assist with drafting and formatting. AI is not an author, reviewer, engineer, or source on this site. Consequential local claims are checked against the cited official sources before publication, and AI output is never treated as field experience or evidence.

Permanent prohibitions

  • Fabricated reviews, projects, credentials, addresses, or teams.
  • Fabricated availability, local experience, or arrival claims.
  • Engineering conclusions or permit determinations for any property.
  • Invented local project-price ranges.

The cost position

This site publishes official fee lines and the scope drivers that move real proposals. It refuses to invent a Cape Coral per-foot or project-price number, because a number without a defined scope misleads in both directions.
